Preston Chaplin, no relation to Charlie, was born in Charleston, SC. The traditions of the South laid fertile soil for a passion for image making. That passion led him to study fine art and commercial photography. With a new degree and hopes of finding a creative outlet, Preston pointed his camera toward the commercial photography world. The next seven years were spent honing his commercial photography skills while assisting, digital teching, and retouching for established photographers. His broad understanding of digital imaging, realized as an asset by many, lead to abundant opportunities as a digital artist. Preston photographs people, fashion, and fine art. He currently works from New York where he lives with his wife and two daughters His imagery bears a very distinct style that embodies a remarkable technical aptitude and a highly developed artistic vision.
